Threaded rod coupling nuts are normally used to connect two pieces of threaded rod together or to join threaded rod or similar threaded bolts or studs together, to creat a longer piece.
Rod couplers are made of carbon steel with zinc-plated finish, withstanding occasional exposure to moisture. Coupling nuts are recommended for indoor environments.
